I am so very sorry for my departure for blog posts the last month. Crippling fatigue and annoying computer upload problems have prevented me from sharing lately. My bad.

So, went to the Royal Weddding Brunch at Billie's and here are some pics:

We even got favor bags! She's the coolest. Glad to have such an awesome friend that lives just across the street:)

A FEW NIGHTS LATER we had Dr. Chad's office Easter Party and cookout at Sommer's house:

Aren't they the CUTEST kiddos?!? They had a fun time and it was like trying to heard cats getting the group picture (even little Carrington in the basket at the bottom). Hilarious.

THEN, We went to Mississippi for Easter with Michael's family. I took pictures on my phone but somehow Apple decided they are lost. they are on my phone but won't upload here. Maybe I can do a mobile blog post and get them here that way. I only took a few. Christina was good and took a ton but I forgot my camera and just took a few mobile shots.

AFTER THAT we went to Murfreesboro for Izabella's 4th birthday Party. I made "my little pony" cake pops. they were SUPER DEELISH and took a while but really not too complicated:

The countdown begins...

Can't wait for next Friday:) my awesome friend, Billie (who conveniently lives across the pond from me) is having a royal wedding party and brunch next Friday! How cute is that?! She's an awesome party planner and already has a big ole smorgasbord of deelish breakfast courses planned! I. Can't. Wait.

We are leaving tomorrow to visit fam in Columbus, MS for the weekend. I can't wait to see everybody and hang out and eat everything in sight.
I'm kinda sad to miss church at ChristWay this Easter. It's going to be an amazing service. I have been praying and instead of fasting I decided to not listen to the radio when I'm in the car this week. I just talk to God instead. It's been almost 40 days since I had caffeine and I'm pretty sure I will not start back. I think I'm done. I have not missed my morning coffee, my lunchtime can of Coke or my sweet tea with dinner. Water is waaaaay better for me and I'm so happy that I never had a headache, craving, nothing!

Thanks goodness Easter is ALMOST here!

I have a HUMONGOUS weakness for Cadbury eggs. Like a hoarder. or a binger. I cannot get enough. I have probably eaten 15 since they began selling them. I really need them to leave the shelves forever and pray that I am not in the store the day they all go on clearance and I can by 10 for a $1 because I would probably buy every last one.

That said, Michael is turning into the Hitler of nutrition. No bad food in our house anymore. He even threw the Splenda in the garbage this morning! (I got it out and gave it to our neighbors). We have been aware of things we need to change about our eating habits but never really been motivated to...He came back from Tucson on a mission. A mission to eat healthy and workout! He has downloaded all this Insanity shredder stuff and I am really starting to get nervous! I love fresh fruits and veggies but what about my mac and cheese? my ramen? my cheeses? cupcakes? cookies?

Then I started reading this book I found at McKay's, Skinny Bitch Bun in the Oven.  It's by these 2 model vegan nutrition ladies-that use very fowl language- but I like it because it just makes it easier to read all this factual scary stuff about all the crap we put in our bodies! There is a Skinny Bitch, Skinny Bitch in the Kitch and one other. I have already been discussing some of the topics in the book with patients, friends, etc. But it like reading this book lays it out there, bold language, you can't ignore. It talks about dairy and how it's not such a good source of calcium, and it's unnatural to have milk after infancy, how the FDA is not to be trusted on what's "safe" about articificial sweeteners, the hormones and pesticides in our beef, eggs and chicken etc. etc. etc. MIND BLOWING info. I had a patient not too long ago who told me about The China Study, which is a book mentioned in SB. This book discusses years of research proving links between dairy and cancer and other harmful things about dairy and other animal proteins.

Now, don't think I have gone totally looney tunes on you just yet, I am still learning and investigating but  reading all this has really hit home with me. And I suggest you read it too:) And pray for me because I might go crazy on somebody if you take my cadbury eggs away!

Spring is springing...or something like that...

LOVE. THIS. VERSE.

I love saying ecclesiastes. I love the song Turn, Turn, Turn by the Byrds. This comes right after that and I really love it. Came across this today and let it wash over me and just made me feel good.

I have been really loving the drives around town lately. All the dogwoods and bradford pears are blooming. I say the drives because while I love being out in it, my body does not. I have been having tons of drainage and sore throats and ear aches. Really wish I had no tonsils right now. They are about as big as golf balls.

I have been EXTREMELY lazy the past week. Well, around the house anyways. I had envisioned getting the closets and cabinets and maybe part of the garage cleaned out while M was out of town...what did I do? I got caught up on Oprah and Housewives and Tosh.0. For real. That's what I have to show for my self. Whatevs. I'm about to get caught up on Sister Wives. Take that.

Found a part of this shell at the beach when we were there and the simple perfect design of this broken shell took my breath away. It's just a small piece of something God created that tumbled along the ocean's floor and landed at my feet.









I think it's so beautiful.
I love Psalm 139 about how we are "fearfully and wonderfully made" God's thoughts of us "outnumber the grains of sand." just to make this now broken shell He reveals what a brilliant creator He is.

Today was a tough day. I started this morning. 3 days late. More trying when Michael returns from Tuscon. We did get to FaceTime(iPad/mac version of skype) this morning and that was cool!

At church, the sermon was on humility and being humble. And asking God what for us to do rather than we want to do with our life. Putting ourselves second to what He seeks for our lives. I ask for what I want. When I need to be figuring out His will...

Beautiful weather and visited with friends in the neighborhood after church.

Beach Babes

We had the best time ever at Isle of Palms. I cannot say enough good about it and cannot wait to go back! The pupkins ran their little hearts out- here are some of the best photos of my sweet babies.

Well, back to work tomorrow! Michael will be going to teach at the Tweed Course in Orthodontics(for Ortho residents) in Tuscon, AZ April 1-15. So we will be sure to keep busy and keep you posted on whatever we get into!
